The United States of Synthorbia is an imaginary place on another planet that I created an identity for. Below is a brief description of how the United States of Synthobira was created and what it's inhabitants are like.
The creation of the United States of Synthorbia is a response to the rapidly depleting earth crisis. In 2010 astronauts from NASA begin to launch the orb structure with a controlled explosion, similar to the big bang explosion that created earth. To ensure survival of the human race, scientists try to keep the air composition the same as earth’s, introducing and controlling gases inside the orb. While the planet’s main structure is growing, biologists on earth are modifying human’s, plants and animal’s genetic make-up to be tailored to life on the new planet. In 2060, plants and animals are introduced to the orb. In 2070, colonization, transportation of architechtual materials and the building of communities begins. Synthorbia is an experiment by humans on earth that eventually goes wrong. After a couple hundred years of inhabitanting Synthorbia, the inhabitants begin to denounce and rebel against the left over earthlings. By 2200, the species on Synthorbia have a very strict military border to protect themselves from earthlings that want to take over Synthorbia.
Both mutated species on the planet depend on each other for survival. The inhabitants have mutations that are detrimental to their survival. The planet has two sides, Panthero and Snorble. These new species evolved into higher being of intelligence with the ability to speak telepathically and also inhabit animal like characteristics. The south side of the planet, closest to Venus have reptilian like features and are cold blooded in order to survive the harsh climates.The plants are large bulbous structures that hold water for the reptoids to survive. The side of the planet facing Earth has inhabitants that thrive in the tropical environment and harbor characteristics of warm blooded animals. When species were initially introduced, biologists wanted to reproduce animals similar to the Noah’s arc theory.Yet with the destruction of Earth and it’s species, the combination of animals was necessary to have any species at all on this new planet. Each side of the planet preserves different species specific to their climate.The mammalian species on the tropical side look like humans but have the ability to fly. The tropical side is able to grow an abundance of fruits and vegetables while the reptilian side has natural resources that the tropics cannot provide.
